"Vintage Faith"

Hi all, I hope your having a great week. I just finished a couple of new designs and wanted to show you all. Unfortunately, the photos of one of the designs turned out horribly, so I'll have to re-shoot and show you later. I am becoming so frustrated with the way my photos are turning out lately that I'm seriously thinking of taking a photo class.

I wish I had natural talent like some of the amazing women around blogland. But I guess we're all talented in different areas, right?!

"Vintage Faith"
I designed it with metal beads that I oxidized for an aged appearance. They were way too shiny at first. I then added a Miriam Haskell pearl, a vintage Victorian button, a pewter cross and a couple of Swarovski crystals.

This piece is really beautiful on, I tried in on myself! :)

~*Cleaning Out the Linen Closet*~

Good Monday morning all. I hope you had a great weekend. I cleaned out my linen closet this weekend and never realized how many duvets, pillow cases, sheets, and linen lamp shades I have from my days working at Shabby Chic. I never use any of my linens because they really just are not in my color scheme any longer. They are so beautiful though, so I got them out and took a few photos, and I love the way they turned out. Beware, lots of photos ahead!

I was thinking about selling all of my Shabby Chic linens, but hubby said "No Way", I kind of agree with him, especially after how pretty the photos turned out.

Someday when I have a house with an extra bedroom, I'll have to make it my shabby room. So I guess I better save all of my linens.

~Sad Faces, a New Design, and Other Thoughts~

Happy Saturday all. It's been cold and rainy here lately which is always good for creativity, usually. Mom left today, so there are lots of sad faces moping around the house today, for we are all missing her greatly!

I created something new and thought I would show you all.

I love these new~old Miriam Haskell pearls I got. The color is so pretty, ice blue.

 It has been so hard for me to get back into designing, I just sit at my work table and stare into space. I guess I need to find some inspiration. Where oh where has my inspiration gone? :)

I'm really ready to try something new! My designs are just not what people seem to be wanting. Any ideas out there? Anyway, I'm off to sit at my work table again, hopefully something will spark some creativity.

I also just had to say "Thank You" to those of you who left me such kind words when I was gone. I am always surprised, although by now I know I shouldn't be, at the kindness of my fellow bloggers. One amazing friend actually offered to send me her laptop to use until I could get a new computer. I was completely blown away by her kindness and I will never forget her generosity!! You know who you are and I am truly grateful to you and your offer, bless you my sweet friend!

~Glitterfest Photos~

Hi everyone, I hope your all doing well. Sorry It's taking me so long to get back into the swing of things here, I've been trying to get well and yesterday was my littlest one's birthday, he turned 3. My Mom also came in for his birthday, so it's been busy, busy! It has been so great to be with my Mom again, I haven't seen her in 7 months, and this is the longest we've ever been apart from each other. 

I thought I would show you a couple of photos from Glitterfest last Saturday. I feel like I'm really behind everyone else because I've already seen a few of these photos on my favorite blogs.

This gorgeous dress form lamp was designed by my friend Debbie from Blossom's Vintage Chic. It was amazing!! And if I didn't have to buy a computer that day, I would have bought it immediately! I was truly in love!! If you don't know Debbie, you have to stop by her blog "Blossom's Vintage Chic", she is the sweetest most loveliest lady you'll ever meet!

This was also from Debbie's booth. I would have loved to take these vintage sconces as well. It was just beautiful the way she had them displayed!

I got this fabulous dress form ornament from the amazingly talented Martha from "MJ Ornaments". Her designs are fabulous and her booth was super busy at the show and she was almost sold out of all of her designs, I'm so glad I was able to get the ornament I wanted before someone else got it. She is so wonderfully sweet and it was such a pleasure to finally get to meet her in person and to see her gorgeous designs. I have been a huge fan of hers since I started blogging.

I'll be back soon with some more photos of the show. Irma from "Cosas Bellas" and I had such a great time!

*I'm Back*

Hi all, I'm finally back after almost a month, can you believe its been that long?

 The new computer just arrived today so I'm just testing it out and learning how to use all of the new gadgets. I have never in my life had to purchase a new computer, so this was a huge investment for me and a very big deal. I have lots of things to report so I'll be back soon. Also I have no photos on my newbie, so I'll have to start taking photos for the blog again. Give me a few days and I'll be back with photos from Glitterfest 2011. I finally got to attend and it was fabulous! I'm just getting over strep throat and the flu and now I have a cold so I'm going to take a few more days to relax before I throw myself head first back into blogland.
