Hydrangeas & Stock~ **SIGH**

If you follow my blog, than you know that I am a sucker for Trader Joe's flowers. Well, yesterday when I went in, they finally had gorgeous white hydrangeas and of course my favorite white stock.
So of course I had to take about a million photos.
So here goes~

The shutter in the background is the one I picked up at "A Beautiful Mess" Antiques.

This is a little area in my bedroom. I finally changed it out this morning and I'm loving the way it looks.

The white linen lavender sachets are from the sweet and generous "Maria" from when I won her wonderful giveaway at Christmas time.

As you can see, one of my vintage windowpanes broke on the bottom. And no, it wasn't done by one of my kiddos, it was me! I was playing with my son and threw a toy up in the air and it hit the window. I know, you shouldn't throw toys in the house! I should have listened to my own advice. :)

Hope you all have a lovely week!!~
Sincerely,
Melinda

  1. I just love that jar you display your flowers in.
Oh no, lol, just our luck huh? Its always something we are trying to teach the kids and then we end up the one in trouble. ;)

  2. I think the broken pane gives the window life...tells a story, right?

Gosh, I love your photos, Melinda.
Gorgeous flowers and I so need to stop at Trader Joe's this week.

Thanks for a good dose of inspiration. xo Rhonda

  3. Lovely flowers and room change up.

Please don't be too hard on yourself about the broken window- just makes it have more shabby character.

You can best believe, though, that your son learned a valueable lesson in all of that - spank free, even! : - )

Beauty post, never been to TRader Joe's and have one about 20 minutes from my house, will have to do that soon, you convinced me!

  5. Trader Joe's is my fav too for flowers. I really LOVE your hydrangeas! Actually I love any flowers that are white, not sure why. Last week at Trader's I got sunflowers and white stock. I'm going again on Wednesday, and hoping to score some of those beautiful white hydrangeas!! Your house looks SO good Melinda. You've done a great job decorating it.

    Take care,
    Sue

I can't ever find the Stock flowers in white, I had to get dark pink this last time. The white ones look so pretty. I love it all!

Sorry about the broken window. Can't you just hear Carol Brady saying not to throw a ball in the house.

  27. BEAUTIFUL images - I just want to pick the whole lot up and transport it into my own home! The window story made me laugh - with three kids of my own, I can SO relate to that - but you know the saying - do as I SAY not as I DO (i.e. when Mummy breaks a window - that's okay - lol!)

  28. I too am a sucker for tis flowers. I buy hydrangeas almost every time I go. And I can almost smell the stock looking at your photos. I laughed when you said that you broke the window because in my house it always seems to be me who spills or breaks things as opposed to my kids :). Have a good one Melinda
