I'm Painting Again & Some Inspiration~

Good Morning all~
Yes, like the title says, I'm painting again! The living room is first and proves to be a bit of a pain. The previous gray color I painted in the living room is going to have to be primed first, I really hate that.

Once the living room/dining room is done, I'm onto my boys room. Poor things, their room is just a disaster! I'm going to re-do their room in a sports theme with vintage baseball's, baseball gloves, bat's, old leather footballs, and old photographs of school sport's teams from the early 1900's. I think it's about time to give them a real boy's room. My oldest is so excited.

I found some wonderful photos I thought I would show you until my rooms are done.
Enjoy the beautiful inspiration!

Love this bedroom above, that mirrored armoire is to die for!!~

I have a thing for vintage cabinets filled to the brim with white ironstone, so I love this photo!~

Love this for a guest room. I'm a sucker for vintage iron beds.

Love the cots and blue chippy cabinet in the background.

I've always loved this photo.

I want this kitchen!!~
The shelves, the sink , love it all!~

**SWOON**
Look at all of that glorious ironstone and transferware~

Wouldn't you love to live in a building with brick walls? Look at that ceiling!

Adore this living room!!

This is truly dreamy!! Again, look at that fabulous cabinet full of ironstone, and the table and chairs, and white pendant lights, simply perfect!!~

Simply gorgeous living room!~

Have a great day everyone!!~
Sincerely,
Melinda

  4. isn't that boy's room transition the hardest!!
I hated letting my hubby take over and the sports theme come to be but boys are boys and soon it will be totally theirs and you won't even be allowed in, lol
have fun, it sounds like you really have it all planned out and ready to go.
    Take care.

  5. Hi Melinda, after the primer coat its all down hill. The primer gives a great base to paint over not only because of its coverage but also for the shrinkage of paint. It sounds like you have a great game plan and you are inspiring me to paint around here.

Love the inspiration rooms that number 1 photo is major for me, loving every bit it inspires.

The kitchen shelf ideas are where I am at with my kitchen, although a temp home I am not sure how much I want to put into it before the sale of it.

I am excited to see your progress over here. I am off to paint a chest, and them maybe work on my cabinets ugh!!! a job but the out come will be rewarding.

Have a beautiful weekend to come.
    xoxo

  6. I adore all your inspiration photos! Ours tastes are identical! As for your boys room, have you seen the Restoration Hardware Kids catalog? They have the most wonderful vintage baseball accessories and ideas. I'm dying to try to duplicate some of it for my grandson's room. Have fun and post pictures!
