Hi everyone!!~
I hope your having a wonderful week.
I spent the morning yesterday having breakfast in a little French cafe'.
No, not in France, but in Newport Beach California.
I took the boys out for breakfast and a movie and we had the best French breakfast at one of my favorite places in Fashion Island called "Cafe' Beau Soleil".
It's connected to this fabulous shop called American Rag Cie which carries fabulous denim, clothing, vintage clothing and French housewares. The owners travel to Europe fairly often to stock the housewares shop with gorgeous vintage French furnishings. Oh, the furniture is so amazing!!~
I'll save the shop photos for the next post.
Sorry, but I didn't think to take a photo of my "Parisienne Farmer" crepe until after I had finished half of it. But let me tell you, it was delicious!!~
Chicken, fresh tomatoes, and spinach in a light creme sauce~YUM!!
My oldest enjoying an iced chocolate.
Afterwards, we went to see the movie "Brave".
THE BEST DISNEY MOVIE I have ever seen. Seriously, I loved it!!
And the boys loved it too.
Moving on~
This is my front entry way.
Continuing with the French theme~ A few of my favorite linens from France.
Excuse the ugly carpet.
My favorite French torchon's.
Hope you all have a beautiful day!!
It's getting hot here now!
Sincerely,
Melinda

What a lovely trip out with the boys.
ReplyDeleteI love walking around Fashion Island, it was about 50* degrees last time we were there, it was a cold stroll ;)
Your collections are amazing Melinda. So clean and fresh. Who could notice carpet when you have such good eye candy to stare at!!!!

Sounds like you had a fun morning with your boys. I love time like that with my children.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful rest of your week, friend.
Sounds like you guys had a great time. My kids saw brave with their grandmother and loved it as well. Your linens are beautiful Melinda.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your week.

Great photos, as always. I haven't been down to Fashion Island in awhile. Brande is going to take be down so we can hit Rogers Gardens and Fashion Island. It's been forever since I've been to Anthropology! I'm anxious to have a day of fun! Maybe I'll take Riley to see the movie!! Our weather is supposed to cool off this week-end.
ReplyDeleteTake care,
Sue
Loving your entry way! Right up my alley! It is super hot here and getting ready to cook dinner. Didn't plan very well. Stay cool!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun day you had! :) I love your entry. Everything looks gorgeous. Your things are lovely. ♥
ReplyDeleteThat certainly does sound like a wonderful place for breakfast. My hubby and I used to go down to Fashion Island all the time but he had a stroke and now I haven't been in years. Will see if one of my granddaughters wants to go with me. Your photos and linens are so pretty, I love everything. Will be following you now. Hugs...Lu

Melinda,
ReplyDeleteoh I so know that cafe so well, I love shopping Fashion Island New Port beach. I wish I had known you would have been there, perhaps my daughter Hannah and I could have met up and shared the day :)
We could have wondered over to Anthropologie to see what they are doing right, or doing wrong :)
I am sure you had a beautiful day with your boys.
Thank you dear for sharing your guy carpet , I think I have that same ugly carpet, working on getting rid of it, taking on the job of painted rustic wood flloors.
The linens are divine.
See you soon my oh so French friend.

ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing some shop pictures ~ and I love your entry way!
What a darling little cafe! Love the linens.
ReplyDeleteCould hoard those very easily! Just need to get
back to France to buy them direct. Your vignettes
are some of the prettiest out there, Melinda!
Seriously!
I have not heard of that movie, thanks for telling us. Did
see a Disney movie trailer the other day in the theater for
a new movie called 'Timothy Green" or that was in the title.
It looked SO SWEET!
Looking forward to that one when it comes out.
Thanks for posting my giveaway on your sidebar.
